CAASPP Testing and Schedule
Posted on 05/05/2026
CAASPP Schedule May 4th - 8th, 2026
We will be testing 7th and 8th grade students during the week of May 4-8 (with no testing on Wednesday). During that week, we follow a block schedule that is shown below. All students meet with their first period teacher each day. They will have instruction for the first 35 minutes then get a transition break and then begin testing with their first period teacher. Students who are in mixed grade level classes may be assigned to join another teacher's class for testing and have been notified of that. 7th or 8th grade students with a free first period, are expected to arrive to school by 9:05 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday so that they do not disrupt the testing climate for their group. Students who do not finish the test each day will have many opportunities to complete their tests on future days. As a reminder, students need to bring their fully charged chromebooks. They should be well rested and have a great breakfast so that their brains can be at their best during testing. (We have a very limited number of chromebooks to lend - as many schools are testing at the same time, so it is vital they remember their own issued chromebook.
9th Grade students on Monday & Tuesday will participate in regular class activities or the Academic Improvement Opportunity (AIO). The AIO is a chance to work on class assignments with teacher assistance. On Thursday and Friday, all 9th grade students will participate in the Mad Money Activity. Students with a Free-first or Co-enrolled class, are expected to arrive at school by 9:23 and will join the AIO or work in the Library until the next block starts.
