All Students who wish to participate in athletics MUST have the following ONLINE forms completed PRIOR to the first day of any practice:
Athletics Packet
Sports Physical Form
(MUST be signed and stamped by a medical doctor and attached to the Athletics Packet)

Do You Wish To Be A Volunteer Driver for away games or field trips?

Parents who wish to volunteer as a driver MUST fill out the Parent Driver Form  at least 48 hours BEFORE the event and provide all items listed. However, approval of the form may take up to 15 days (as noted on the on-line form)

Emerson & Da Vinci Sports Program

With this year being somewhat uncertain, please be sure to get ahead of the game and get those physicals done and paperwork submitted so you are ready! See below for the Sports Packet and the items you will need.

Emerson Junior High is part of the Yolo County Athletic League (YCAL).  This league includes Emerson Jr. High/Da Vinci Charter Academy, Holmes Junior High, and Harper Junior High in Davis, Winters Middle School in Winters, Esparto Middle School in Esparto, Lee Jr. High and Douglass Jr. High in Woodland, and CA Jacobs Middle School in Dixon.

All athletes that sign up prior to the 1st day of practice will be allowed to participate so long as they meet the following requirements:

  • maintain a 2.0 GPA with no F’s
  • be in good disciplinary standing at school
  • have the ATHLETICS PACKET, which includes a current physical form, on file with the athletic director prior to the 1st day of practice

Physicals must be signed and stamped by your doctor no more than two months before the start of the school year and are valid for the entire year.  Please plan accordingly and book your doctor’s visits in advance. All forms can be found in the front office or on the resources section of this page.

The Emerson and DaVinci Sports Program is a financially, self supporting activity. This means that your donations are used to cover uniforms, equipment and referee costs. Making those much needed donations is easy! Just click on

How Can You Support Athletics?
The Emerson Athletics Program is a financially, self supporting activity. Therefore, each student is asked to donate $25.00 per athletics activity. These needed donations are used to cover uniforms and cleaning, equipment and referee costs. Making those much needed donations is easy! Just click on DONATION!

 

9th Graders Who Wish To Join Athletics

All 9th-grade athletes participate on athletic teams at Davis Senior High School. Please refer to the DHS Athletics website for all information.
2023-2024 DSHS Athletics: For 23-24 DSHS Athletics, sports physicals should be dated 6/1/23 or after. Please remember when you get your sports physical from your doctor’s office, they must put an office stamp on your form.
9-12 athletes need to register at www.homecampus.com  One of the steps is to include their completed sports physical form. If they are unable to complete this step, they can continue on with the registration and I can add it for them. You can send the physical to me if it is turned in to you…but…if there is no registration…they are not signed up for sports!
