Checking Out Library Books During Distance Learning

During distance learning, DJUSD students from any secondary school may check out books from the Emerson & Da Vinci Junior High Library. The checked-out books can be picked up at Emerson & Da Vinci Junior High during specific distribution times.

To request a book for check-out please follow this process:

1 - Go to the Emerson & Da Vinci Online Catalog

2 - Search for the book you want to borrow.

3 - Once you know what book you want to borrow, fill out the Emerson & Da Vinci Library Book Request Form

Once the Emerson & Da Vinci Library Staff has processed your reserve, you will receive an email with information about when and where to pick-up your book. Please remember to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols when entering the campus. 

Books not picked up after two weeks will be returned to the library. Books will be placed on carts for pickup Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. The pickup area will be just outside the main office in the breezeway, on carts. The IDC is now in use and will no longer be the pickup site.

There will not be any book checkout or pickup during Winter break. Checkout and pickup will resume January 4th, 2021.

Books may be returned to any open DJUSD library, although we encourage you to return books to our blue Library Return box in the parking lot drop off loop.
